Lincoln Lab exhibit explores the technology of national security

"MIT Lincoln Laboratory: Technology in Support of National Security," a wide-ranging exhibition organized by the MIT Museum and Lincoln Laboratory , will be on view at the museum's Compton Gallery from Jan. 8 through May 18.

"This retrospective exhibition is part of an ongoing celebration commemorating MIT Lincoln Laboratory's 50 years of service to the nation in carrying out research and development programs important for National Defense," said Roger W. Sudbury, executive officer and director of external relations for Lincoln Lab.

The exhibit will emphasize advanced technology developed by MIT Lincoln Lab for the Department of Defense and other government agencies. It will showcase both historic and contemporary research and development projects on topics such as advanced communication and data networking, computer technology and digital signal processing, ballistic missile and air defense, space surveillance, advanced device technology and air traffic control.

The Compton Gallery (just off Lobby 10) is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
